Am I an Addict ?

All of us in the fellowship of Narcotics Anonymous have asked ourselves this crucial question. It is perhaps the most difficult decision we have ever had to make. Maybe we could admit that we had addictive tendencies when it came to food, work and play etc, but never drugs! Denial played a great part in preventing us from answering honestly.

There is however, a leaflet with a series of questions which can help: It is called Am I an addict and is reproduced online by the World Service Office. There are other leaflets also available online:

Why have Meetings?

Contact with other addicts with a desire to stay clean is an important aid to decreasing feelings of isolation and helplessness.

In meetings we share experience, strength and hope about our personal recoveries from addiction.

Online Meetings

We host regular NA meetings online. They are held on Monday, Wednesday, Thursdays, Friday & Sunday at 7.30pm in the UK NA Chat-room.  Parents and Carers in recovery also have an online meeting between 8pm and 9pm each Tuesday.   More information about the chat room can be found here.
